Why Your Face Cloths Aren't as Clean as You Think!

Did you know that 90% of bathroom towels are contaminated with coliform bacteria and about 14% carry E. coli?* That means every time you pick up a face cloth to wash your face, you're exposing your skin to contaminants!

I know what you're thinking:

Oh no, I wash my towels regularly, this statistic doesn't apply to me!

Unfortunately, we're here to tell you that this statistic does apply to you! Even hospital-grade laundering practices aren't able to remove microbial contaminants from towels, in fact, they may even add contaminants!** So, it's safe to say that your home laundering practices aren't up to snuff.

Not to mention, the bleach and other chemicals used in washing your towels are highly irritating to the skin and frankly, your face deserves better.

Ok, ok, we know what you're about to say next:

Oh wow, well I'll just use my hands then!

If your freshly laundered face cloths are harbouring bacteria, what do you think is all over your hands? Plus, even with freshly washed hands it's nearly impossible to remove all dirt and makeup from the face. Especially if you don't accidentally want a finger in your eye. 👀 Leaving any residue on the skin can lead to an excess of break outs and harm the skin barrier.

What's the solution then?

We like to keep things simple at Evolve Cosmetics™ and our dermatologist-recommended Clean Face Cloths are a perfect example. They are single-use, biodegradable cloths that are 100% natural, vegan, cruelty-free and ideal for all skin types.

They can be used to remove make-up, cleanse, exfoliate and so much more! Fragrance-free, chemical-free and free of any unwanted germs – unlike that towel currently hanging in your bathroom – these are the cleanest solution for your skin!
If there's one New Years Resolution we can get behind this year it's to leave your face cloths in 2022 and say hello to 2023 with Clean Face Cloths!
